Statistics show that the larger a church grows, the more difficult it is to become a true community. In fact, unless a person develops seven or more friendships within a year's time, connection rarely happens. That’s the challenge we face. So many of us to connect and…here’s how we do it:
Within Heartland, we offer different "Connect Communities" that gather around common needs or specific stages of life. Each community centers on one vision: "Connecting into a deeper relationship with Jesus and with each other." While each community looks and feels a bit different, we’re striving to do this through the following:
Connect Events
from Ski Trips to New Year's Galas, each community holds a variety of activities, retreats, and gatherings that
help people connect in friendship.
Connect Groups
these are small groups of people that gather consistently together for personal growth, to develop deeper friendships,
to pray, and to study the Bible.
