If there's one word that summarized God's message to His people, it would be "go!" Think about it - to Abraham, then to Moses, the to Joshua, then to David, Jonathan, Isaiah, Jeremiah and Jonah (just to name a few) - God said go,go,go,go,go,go,go, and go! Then of course, God said to His only Son, "go." And Jesus said the same to His disciples. The book of Acts could easily be renamed "The book of Go." As it chronicles the spread of the church from Judea in to Samaria, the Caesarea, Ethiopia, Phillipi, Rome, India, China... and eventually, Kansas.
Thus, we felt it fitting to call our capital campaign go. Because we want to be a people who go - before the Lord, beyond ourselves, and to the ends. The go. campaign is a three-year effort that will conclude at the end of 2010.
Because we wanted go. to advance our entire mission (rather than just a part of our mission), we selected three foci (we call them "the three Ms") for the campaign. They are:
