Communication and resolving conflict are essential to an effective marriage, however REAL INTIMACY is what we crave the most, but are often the most afraid to experience. In this class you will learn about a covenantal theology of marriage, potential challenges to relational intimacy and strategies to experiencing all that God intended for our marriages. Couples Lifestage Groups

These are small groups of couples in specific lifestages, such as couples with or without kids at home. These groups will meet in homes or at the church and study different

For Couples Only Groups

For Couples Only is Heartland's way of designing a group which meets for a specific length of time (usually 4-8 weeks), where groups study topics specific to relationships and faith. This type of study usually focuses on a particular book, with leaders serving as mentors in the study. These groups meet on Sunday or Wednesday evenings at Heartland or in homes. Currently we have no new groups forming, but look for groups to begin in January 2010.

The Adult Community

The Adult Community welcomes adults, whether single, married, divorced or widowed. If you don’t have a connect group to meet with, then The Adult Community may just be the right fit for you. We meet every Sunday morning from 10:15 until 11:30 in room 3. Gary Blakeman facilitates this interactive discussion of the Bible and how it relates to your life in today’s world. What do you think God is saying to you through his Word? This is the place to voice those thoughts and hear what other people just like you are thinking. Presently we’re looking at the parables of Jesus. What is God saying to you through the parables?

In the past we have also read and discussed "Just Walk Across the Room" by Bill Hybels, "The Shack" by William P. Young and "The Purpose Driven Life"  by Rick Warren. The Adult Community is joined from time to time by guest speakers like Bob Scott, author of "Saving Zimbabwe". Visit our bookstore for these books and many more.
