Grow in Christ

Brad Gregory coordinates Heartland's Everyman Ministry Grow opportunities. Through small groups of men, one-to-one spiritual mentoring, and other offerings, our vision is that Everyman will be a disciple. Whether you are just beginning to explore what you believe about Jesus Christ or have walked with him for many years, we want to help you grow in your knowledge of and relationship with him. Contact Brad via email for more information.

Men's Journey, Friday Mornings

Men's Journey small groups provide men who want to follow Jesus more closely an opportunity to share their victories and their struggles. MJ runs in "seasons" that generally follow the school year, and the 2010-2011 season begins in September. MJ Friday mornings begins September 17 with two options for attending. Join us at the church for free coffee at 6:15am, or join MJ North at Homer's coffee house at 6:30am. We always end at 7:30 promptly so you can head out for work. Contact Tom Walker for more info.

Men's Journey NORTH, Friday Mornings

For those who find getting to (and from) the church on Friday mornings too difficult, we also offer MJ North. These small groups meet at Homer’s Coffee house on 80th Street and Metcalf from 6:30 am to 7:30am .  Contact Brad Gregory for more info.

1:1 Spiritual Mentoring

Learn the truth of God's word with another man. This six-month study is designed for anyone who would like to learn more about the faith. Click here to contact Brad Gregory for further information.

Man Tuesday:

Men's Journey, Tuesday Evenings

Want to be in a Men’s small group but can't make it Friday mornings? Not to worry! Men's Journey PM meets Tuesday evenings at 6:30pm. Come early and enjoy some informal conversation before we begin promptly at 6:30. For more information, email Mark Murfield.

Men's Fraternity

This small group setting provides men an encouraging place where they learn how to live a life of authentic manhood as modeled by Jesus and directed by the Word of God. This study will give you the tools to become a better husband, father, and friend by offering a clear and compelling definition of what it means to be a Christian man and then inspire and equip you to incorporate this into the fabric of your everyday life.

Groups will meet on Tuesday nights 6:30-8:00pm at Heartland Community Church.

What’s New in Men’s Ministry

Posted: Jan 09 2012

Men's Fraternity begins Tuesday, 1.10.12

We will be following up on last year’s “Fathered by God“ class with Men’s Fraternity. This class led by Matt Hahs is a 10-week men’s study that provides men with an encouraging process that teaches them how to live lives of authentic manhood as modeled by Jesus Christ and directed by the Word of God.

Men's Fraternity is designed to help men come together and strengthen each other through weekly sessions that combine biblical teaching and small group interaction. Click HERE to sign up.

Beautiful Outlaw Class Tuesdays at 7pm, Join any time

Brad Gregory, our Men’s Ministry Coordinator  will be leading a new 9 week class based on John Eldredge’s new book “ Beautiful Outlaw .“ You can join this group at any time as each chapter of the book pretty much stands on its own. This fascinating book and study invites us to clear away the religious “fog“ that has clouded our perception of Jesus. This study invites us to look at Jesus in a whole new way. He is the best example of a man we will ever come to know. He was kind and generous. He was humorous and playful. He was angry when facing hypocrisy and self-serving religious leaders. He is not the bland, one-dimensional stereotypical Jesus portrayed to us whom we can never seem to approach. Come and see Jesus, the real Jesus. Experience a perfect love that defies conventional belief from the Beautiful Outlaw.

Click HERE to sign up. Contact Brad Gregory if you are a "late comer" or just want more info.

Once a Year Events Just for Men

Man Time

This is your once a year chance to get together and do manly things - like pitch a tent, pitch horseshoes, play football, frisbie, or baseball. We travel a short distance outside the metro area to disconnect from our every day world so we can connect as Christ following men. The food is great and the fellowship is even better. Man Time is usually scheduled early in the fall. Watch for details here and in the newsletter.

Ironworks Adventure Ministry (IAM)

As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. ~Proverbs 27:17

The mission of IAM is to whet men's appetites for the adventure involved in following Jesus Christ by engaging them in adventurous and exciting outdoor events.

In Wild At Heart, John Eldredge asserts that men need an adventure to live-that God wired us that way. We agree with him, and like Eldredge, think adventure finds its most natural venue in the great outdoors. IAM's goal is to inspire men to deeper devotion to God by getting them out into nature and away from the distractions of everyday life. With every event, IAM hopes to create new friendships and to strengthen existing friendships within Heartland's Everyman Ministry.
