Welcome to Heartland
If this is your first time to church in a while, we're especially glad you're here. We know that attending any church can feel awkward. There's unfamiliar music, churchy words, and traditions that make you feel like you forgot the secret handshake.
That's why we're committed to being "a church for the unchurched" – a place where you don't have to be fluent in ‘church' in order to start or continue your faith journey. At the end of the day, our great hope is that we're becoming a people who live and love like Jesus; a people who do 3 big things: gather, grow, go.
- gather together weekly for worship and the exploration of Jesus
- grow individually in Christ
- go serve and give our lives away
What To Wear
We are pretty casual so wear your Sunday's worst.
The Welcome Center
When you arrive you'll notice several friendly faces waving you to the nearest parking spot. As you enter the doors, feel free to drop by our Welcome Center where we'll help you get a lay of the land - where to drop off your kids, how to find a good (and free!) cup of coffee, or how to take your next step of spiritual growth.
The Services
We believe that transformation happens when "what's true to our lives" intersects with the Truth found in the Scriptures. This requires that we engage our surrounding culture in timely, honest, and relevant conversation and we'll use just about any artistic medium to do so. Our music is compelling and loud (as in Sprint Center loud!) and the teaching is creative and dynamic. Oh, and we don't pass an offering basket so we can all avoid the awkward moment. At the end of our 70 minutes together, our hope is that you will leave encouraged, challenged, and all the more drawn to the person of Jesus. Click here to watch our most recent service.
Children's and Youth
Children's Ministry is offered during all of our services. "Great Beginnings" is designed for infants through Kindergarten. These kiddos have a blast playing together, learning Bible stories, and making crafts. For 1st through 5th graders, "Great Adventure" offers an increasingly interactive atmosphere that includes small groups, a live worship band, and a short teaching segment. Both our Middle School and High School programs meet at 11AM currently, however the High School group is moving to Sunday night on 2.19.2012.
Prayer
If you'd like to pray, we have a prayer room that is just off the west side of the auditorium (near the restrooms and mothers cry room). This is an intimate, quiet space where you can go for personal reflection. If you'd like to be prayed for, it would be our honor to pray with you. Please come down to the front of the auditorium after the service or come to our Welcome Center.
