Classes
Grow Classes are designed to focus on one particular area of interest for a set amount of time. These classes are open to all adults, no matter what your lifestage and give a fresh perspective on topics such as finances, spiritual gifts and daily devotionals. Classes will be held on Wednesday nights at Heartland with childcare available. The class descriptions and registration are below for those classes currently being offered.
What You Do Best Class - The class will focus on laying the foundation of what spiritual gifts are and allow you to discover what skills and strengths God designed in you plus how you can use them most effectively. This is a great starting point for finding a place to volunteer at Heartland. The book "What You Do Best in the Body of Christ" by Bruce Bugbee will be your reference tool.
Financial Peace University - This course is lead by Dave Ramsey via video. It lays out a simple and realistic plan for getting and keeping control of your finances. The videos are supplemented by in-class discussions and tools to apply at home.
Just Walk Across the Room - Have you ever wanted to learn how to naturally and comfortably share with others what you believe about faith, God and church? This study will equip you to do just that, while also showing you how to build relationships and community with those around you. The book "Just Walk Across the Room" by Bill Hybels will be your guide.
Simple Devotions - This study will equip you with a simple structure to allow you to have a consistent devotional life.
Deep Dive - Do you ever have a desire to go deeper with a certain topic in your faith, but don't know how to get there? This class will take an in-depth look at a variety of Biblical ideas and will typically run 2-4 weeks.
