On promotion Sunday all kids move up to their new rooms. There will be volunteers and staff in the halls of Great Beginnings to help families find the right classrooms. First through Fifth graders will be in the gym for Great Adventure. Note the change this year for first grade, they will be dropped off and picked up in the gym all year. Sixth graders will head down the hall to the youth room. It's going to be a great year!

Heartland Children's Ministry feels a need to get better at caring for our families that have special needs children. Jesus told us "when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind and you will be blessed" Luke 14:13-14. If you have an interest in helping special needs kids fall in love with Jesus please fill out the attached questionnaire and plan to attend an information gathering meeting Oct 8th, 7pm at Heartland. Great Beginnings is for children birth through those having completed kindergarten on Sundays at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. The staff and volunteers of Great Beginnings are committed to giving children a first impression of a loving heavenly Father. We are also committed to making Heartland a safe place for kids.

We teach these truths through crafts, music and storytelling. We would like to help families continue teaching these truths at home with the help of "small talk" available in your child's classroom or here.
