Life can be hard. Some challenges are beyond our ability to manage successfully on our own, and we can find ourselves feeling lost, lonely and hurting. Our desire is to help you proactively grow as an individual, as a couple or family, and to provide assistance for those seasons in life when you need someone to lean on.

Whether it’s conflict in marriage, an addiction, a death in the family, or another emotionally difficult issue, Heartland’s Community Care Team is ready to help. Our staff members, pastoral elders and volunteers work as a team to meet needs as they arise within our community, and connect you to the appropriate resources.

The Community Care team can confidentially be accessed by leaving a message on our Care Line at (913)341.5820 ext 330. One of our volunteers will respond to you within 48 hours. If this is an emergency, please call 911.

Care Resources

The Heartland Care Team includes staff, pastoral elders and volunteers who are each equipped to come alongside in a time of need.

Care resources include:

  • Life’s Healing Choices groups
  • DivorceCare
  • Compassion Fund
  • Designed to Care Training

Counseling Resources

Our Community Care team can partner with you to offer a variety of services. Counseling is available through a combination of pastoral care, care team, professional partners and graduate counseling interns. We partner with local Graduate Counseling Programs to offer some of these services. Should your needs require attention beyond our community, the Care team will consult with you to find the best referral source to a professional partner in the area that can meet your specific needs.

Prayer Resources

The Care Team offers prayer following Sunday services, near the front of the auditorium and the dock. In addition, you can submit prayer requests below. Members of our prayer team will pray for you.

Throughout the year, we offer training opportunities for anyone wishing to grow in their knowledge and comfort level with prayer.
