Welcome to Heartland

If you’ve been away from church for a long time or never really “did church”, we’re so glad you are checking us out!

We know that it can feel awkward or even scary to visit a church for the first time.  That’s why our mission is to be a ‘church for the unchurched’ – a place where you don’t have to be fluent in ‘church’ in order to start or continue your faith journey.

Below you’ll find some basic info that’ll help you navigate your first visit to Heartland.  And if you have questions that aren’t covered below, please let us know!

    What To Wear

We are pretty casual, so please come dressed however you feel comfortable.  No need to dress up!

    The Welcome Center

When you arrive, we invite you to stop by the Welcome Center in our Atrium.  The friendly folks there can help you with some of the basics (where to find the restrooms, where you can get a free cup of coffee, where you can drop off your kids) – and when you’re ready, they can also help you find ways to connect at Heartland or help you take your next step of spiritual growth.

    The Services

We offer three identical Sunday services – at 9 AM, 11 AM and 5 PM.  Our services run about an hour and 10 minutes in length.  To cut down on the awkwardness for those who are just visiting or still checking out Heartland, we don’t pass an offering basket.  Our music is loud (so no one will notice if you don’t know the songs and aren’t singing along…or if you’re not a great singer), and our speakers’ messages are creative, timely, honest and relevant.

    Kids and Youth

Heartland Kids is offered during all of our services. Your kids will be in age-appropriate classrooms and small groups, from infant through pre-K. These kiddos have a blast playing together, learning Bible stories, and making crafts. For our K-1st and 2nd-4th graders we offer a highly interactive atmosphere that includes small groups, a live worship band, and a short teaching segment. Middle School meet only at 11 AM on Sunday. High School meets on Wednesday nights from 6:00-8:00 PM.

We have Prayer Team members available at the end of each of our services to pray for those who would like it. If you’d like to be prayed for, please come to the front of the auditorium (near the stage) after the service and just let us know!  It would be our honor to pray with you. We also have a prayer room (located near the auditorium, where the services are held) – and it’s a quiet space where you can go for personal reflection.
