YOU can help hungry folks at Heartland and around the KC area - just grab a few extra items next time you're at the grocery store and drop them off the following week on the 28th of February!
Items of particular need include: boxed cereal, oatmeal (packets or quick oats), saltines, dry or canned pasta, tuna, peanut butter, Velveeta Shells and Cheese, and boxed dinners (like Hamburger or Tuna Helper). Thanks for helping feed those in need!

HCC in KC Business Journal
Heartland was recently featured on the cover of the Kansas City Business Journal on January 22nd. It featured some great photos and a story about how a former "Big Box" retail space has been transformed into something new. See a snippet of the article here.

Heartland Family Adventure, High Seas Expedition!
Ahoy Mateys! Families with kids 3years old to 5th grade are invited to sign up for Heartland Family Adventure where we will be exploring the mighty love of God!
HFA is July 12th-15th at Heartland.
The Adventure starts at 6pm and ends at 7:45 with a little time at the end for cookies from the galley. Kids and parents will stay together to sing, laugh, learn, do crafts, service projects and play games. For the last part of the evening kids will be entertained with more stories and games while the parents listen to parenting wisdom from a pastor. Space is limited to the first 400 children. Don't worry if you have younger children, there will be free baby-sitting for them. The cost is $20 per child. You can find FAQs and registration here. Questions? Contact Ally Stouse.
Whole Lotta Kids!
Kids attendance at Heartland has grown by 60% from last year. We are thrilled to see all those kids and aware that we need lots more volunteers. We need a total of 35 additional volunteers who will serve every other week as a classroom leader or small group leader. We have positions open in all age groups from birth through 5th and at both services. Serving in Great Beginnings (birth through K) or Great Adventure (1st-5th grade) is a fun and fulfilling volunteer opportunity. Not only do you get to sing, play and tell stories, you get to help children understand that their best life awaits them in Christ.
If you are interested in shadowing in Great Beginnings or Great Adventure please talk to us at our sign up table by Great Beginnings on Sunday or email Sara Stauffer. We will set you up to watch Children's Ministry in action before you sign up.

Providing Meals at the Hope Center
Our youth ministry has experienced some exciting growth over the past year and as a result of that growth we've seen an increase in the need for people providing meals for the students involved in our Leaders In Training program each week. Providing a meal for this program allows the youth to enjoy a healthy meal together at the beginning of their evening before they begin their tutoring sessions. Providing one of these meals is a great way for individuals, small groups, and families to get involved in The Hope Center. If you are interested in helping in this way, or have any questions please contact Matt Nagel or call 816.913.6290 x103.
Check out the latest at the Heartland Missions website.

If you have a heart for those with special needs and are looking for an opportunity to use your gifts, let us help you find the perfect spot to serve. No experience or training is necessary – we’ll equip you with all the resources you need. You’ll make a huge difference in the life of one child and they will bless you in amazing ways!
We need 1:1 buddies for the 11:00 Sunday service and help with games, crafts and dinner at our monthly Family Night Out. Please contact Melissa George for more information.
