Immediate Need: Children's Ministry Looking for 65 New Volunteers

Michelle PembertonTo launch our Fall children's ministry on a high note, we need you! We serve about 550 kids on a Sunday morning, Birth-5th grade. We already have hundreds of volunteers happily continuing to serve with kids. We need 65 volunteers to partner with them to fully staff our classrooms and small groups. We have openings in almost every age level. Unfortunately, and this is the hard part, we will not be able to keep all of our classrooms and small groups open on Sunday morning if we don't have enough volunteers to keep our kids safe. Do you feel the nudge? Sign up here to come test drive and see what we do and see if its the right place for you to bless kids and be blessed by them.

Sign Up HERE and put "Children's Ministry" as your interest.

Life groups begin September 7th at our First Wednesday

Shibu and SteveWant to take your next step in the student ministry at Heartland? You do not want to miss the opportunity to grow in your faith and community by being a part of our life groups every Wednesday night.
Both middle and high school life groups meet every Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 at the church.

What to expect? Challenging discussions about Jesus and faith. Friendship. And FUN!
You'll be in a group of other teens who are in the same grade as you. We have some incredibly fun and wise adult leaders that we can't wait for you to get to meet!

Once a month we attend the all-church worship and communion service together. There is also a monthly event that may or may not take place at the church. Please stay tuned in to the middle school and high school student ministry webpages and to the high school Facebook group for details about those events.

Join us on Wednesday September 7th for the worship & communion service. And then run over to McDonalds with us to get some ice cream afterwards!

Food Drive a Success!

Food DriveThank you for your response to the food drive last Sunday.  The Heartland Food Pantry is well stocked for the months ahead.  Many Heartland families and others in the community will be blessed by your generosity.
We are also grateful for volunteers who helped load, label, and shelve the food. Our team could not have managed that quantity of items without the extra hands.  Thanks for serving!

Visit the Heartland Missions webpage for the latest updates or join the Missions Friends group to get weekly updates.

3rd Service Survey Notes

You received a survey from Dan Deeble this week regarding our 3rd Service. We're hoping to find an optimal service time on Sunday. However, you may have experienced confusion over the ranking of the service times.

1) If you're not 80% or more likely to consider another service time, please leave the ranking exercise blank. (At first the survey tool didn't allow that, but go back and it will now)

OR

2) If you are going to rank the 4 service times, you MUST rank them 1-4. All FOUR numbers must be used. You can't just put a partial ranking in there.

Once again, sorry for the confusion - and we appreciate your help on this survey!
