2008 Year End Giving

Thanks for your giving in 2008. Your generosity has allowed us to offer the opportunity to present the Good News of Jesus Christ to thousands of people this year. We place a high level of importance on ensuring that donations are posted in the proper period, as this has a significant impact on both the ministry and our donors. This is even more crucial as we approach the end of our calendar year. Dan Deeble shared in November that the church was projecting a $300,000 shortfall in this year's Ministry Fund. As of this afternoon, we are projecting a deficit of $197,000. We are humbled by your response so far.

It's not too late to make a contribution for the 2008 calendar year. The simplest way to do this is to make an online gift. These gifts can be directed in any of the following ways:

• Ministry Fund (operating)
• go. Campaign (capital)
• Benevolence Fund
• Year-End. (In 2008, our Year-End is divided into 80% for ministry fund to help with transitional costs and the south service and 20% towards our Benevolence fund to assist families at Heartland with immediate needs in the coming year.)

In order for contributions to be included for the 2008 calendar year, please adhere to the following guidelines:

• Online: Click here to make an online gift using a bank/credit card. However, it is preferable to make your online gift by logging into your My Heartland account. Through this avenue, your online gift can be made through a checking account as well as a bank/credit card. (An online gift through your checking account only costs about 50 cents/transaction. An online gift through a bank/credit card costs from 3-5% of the gift. A gift through your checking account lowers costs!)
• Regular Mail: Must be postmarked by December 31st to be counted as a gift in the 2008 calendar year. Checks should be mailed to the street address (Heartland Community Church, 8301 Lamar, Overland Park, KS 66207) to assure it is received by the deadline.
  
• Drop Box: The building will be open until 5:00 pm on December 31st. There is a drop box in the north end of 8301 Lamar.
