Middle School

Middle School meets Sundays at 11:00 AM in the Youth Lounge (for 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th grade students).

Our Student Ministry Vision is: training students to thrive in the unknown because they are known and sent.

Who are we? We are people committed to building a church for the unchurched. And we want a youth ministry that reaches students who aren’t churched. That means we are creating environments that are safe and fun for students to enter. You’ll create lasting relationships with our excellent group of leaders.

Join us on Sunday mornings or at an event listed below!

Pray for Students!

Here’s a note from a couple parents in our community that felt God leading them pray for the student ministry. Check out this note and invitation from them:

We feel God nudging us to begin intentional prayer for our student ministry. Prayer is one of the best ways we can support the vision, leadership and mission of our student ministry.

Praying for our children opens up many blessings for us and our children.

Please join us for our first meeting on March 3 at 5:30 in the Garage at Heartland. We’ll see our students off on their spiritual retreat and stay for a short time of prayer. We will be finished by 6:00 for those attending the IF conference.

Sincerely,
Kelli Beurman and Michelle Lawson

Hey 6th 7th & 8th graders:  Please join us for “Believe” – a high-energy weekend event, packed with powerful worship and teaching from God’s word. While at Believe, you’ll worship together, engage in life-challenging discussions with peers and adult leaders, and discover ways in which God is calling you to be Kingdom workers in your schools, communities and the world!

Believe is a Friday night and Saturday day event on Friday, March 31 (6:30-10:30pm) and Saturday, April 1 (8:30am-4:00pm) at the Kansas City Convention Center.  We’ll meet at Heartland and carpool together to and from the event both days – so plan on being at Heartland at 5pm on Friday and at 7:45am on Saturday.  Cost is $65 per person, to cover the conference and meals.
