At this time, all public gatherings at Heartland are suspended until at least April 12. We will gather on Sundays via livestream services on our YouTube channel and we encourage you to join us.
In addition, every Heartland staff team and leadership group is working on resources and methods to continue our engagement with you and our community. It is really hard not to be together to commemorate Good Friday and celebrate Easter. In light of our current reality we have the opportunity to multiply the experience and significance of Easter weekend in each of our own spheres of life and influence. We are actively developing ideas, resources and some online shared experiences for adults and children for Good Friday & Easter. We’ll be providing this information as it develops, and encourage you to share the links and invites with anyone you know who doesn't have a place or people to celebrate Easter with this year. Thank you Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit!
We are working specifically on Good Friday and Easter celebrations via livestream. We will share those plans and links as soon as they are available. Our events posted on Facebook will convert and point to the livestream feeds in the next week. We will alert you so that you can invite your family and friends to join us.
What an incredible time to be a “hope dealer” as Shibu challenged us March 15, 2020. Leverage your influence and connections on Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and your email to invite folks to join you at online church.
Financial Challenges & Opportunities
While dealing with the unique health and lifestyle realities of this COVID-19 threat season, we are also faced with increased financial challenges and opportunities. As Heartland we continue in our commitment to faithfully meet our daily expenses in support of our staff, facilities, mission partners and day-to-day operations. This season presents us with increased needs to meet and opportunities to seize through our compassion fund and food pantry fund. It is your generous financial giving that makes it possible for Heartland to stay on mission in all of these areas.
Generous giving to our Arrows Out Operating Fund supports staff, facilities and mission partners and is essential to keeping day-to-day operations strong. Also, generous giving to our Compassion Fund and Food Pantry Fund will enable us to provide increased numbers of people with necessary care for those financially suffering or in need of food due to the impact of COVID-19.
In this time of insecurity and uncertainty, God-energized generous living and generous giving expresses “hope dealing” in a strong way. Let’s rise-up together to give, and increase our giving in this season, to the praise of God, to advance His love, to support His church and care for our community.
