Heartland Kids Family Serve Event on October 24^th from 6:30PM-8:00PM.  Come and go, this event will take each family about 30 minutes.  We hope this event will give families a way to serve the Kansas City community together and encourage parents that kids are never too little to serve.  This event will take place on the dock and is an event for families with kids of all ages.   We will be partnering with YouThrive to provide toiletries/supplies and duffle bags for teens transitioning out of foster care.  Families can drop off their designated supplies 2 Sundays before the event or bring them that night.  We will be watching a video explaining the impact that this serving event will have on teens.  Grab your bag and make your way through to collect an item from each section.  Stop at the prayer table to decorate and pray over the teenager that will be receiving the bag.  Enjoy a cookie or two on the way out and hear from a Heartland foster dad about the impact on him and his family.  We hope that families will connect with each other, and help parents have an active role in their child’s spiritual journey.
