gifts from the heart: sign up for assistance or to sponsor a family

Gifts from the Heart exists to assist families who are struggling financially during the Christmas season. While we cannot solve every need for every family, we do our best to provide a few gifts to children and their parents at Christmas.

Are you caring for foster children? Have you experienced unemployment or a loss of income? Are you a single parent struggling to make ends meet?

If you could use a little extra assistance at Christmas, please leave a message at 913-341-5820, ext 377. Include your name and phone number, and one of our volunteers will contact you. Please contact us by November 18, 2016 in order to process your request. Your information will remain confidential.

Tags with specific gift requests will be placed on the Heartland Christmas tree in the atrium Sunday, December 4, 2016. Gifts should be purchased and delivered to the Heartland by Sunday, December 11, 2016.

If you or a group of friends are interested in adopting an entire family, please please leave us a message at 913-341-5820, ext 377. Include your name and phone number, and one of our volunteers will contact you. Please contact us by December 2, 2016 in order to process your request.

If you will not be at Heartland on December 4th to select tags from the tree but still want to participate, please call 913-341-5820 ext 377. Leave a message with your name and phone number, and one of our volunteers will contact you.

Sundays, 10:15-11:30, Room 4

Our adult community welcomes adults, whether single, married, divorced or widowed. If you are looking for a Sunday morning study group, then adult community may just be the right fit for you.

The first few minutes are spent catching up on the past week and then we dive into the current study. Gary Blakeman and John Auld co-facilitate this interactive discussion of the Bible and how it relates to your life in today’s world. This is a safe place to voice your thoughts and hear what other people just like you are thinking. We engage with the Bible and various study materials throughout the year.

Messenger coffee and tasty treats are available for your enjoyment. We hope to meet you soon!
