Resources - Sexual Brokenness

As follow up to “Heartland Care Presents: Sexual Brokenness & Healthy Sexuality” (March 27, 2019), here is a video of the Delk's story, along with a list of the items that Scott and Kenyon felt were pivotal things to 1) discuss together and 2) create agreed-upon action plans around. The Delks have frequently revisited and evaluated as they’ve pursued healing and journeyed toward recovery from sexual brokenness.

  • Care:Emotionally Healthy Relationships Course

    8:00 pm

    Virtual Class

Has sheltering-in-place brought an increased sense of loneliness? Or heightened your awareness of some unhealthy relational defaults between you and those you live with? Maybe more than before we are recognizing our need for connection with others and the value of safe, healthy relationships in our life.

Heartland Care will be launching our first ever virtual study to make space for connecting and building relationships. The Emotionally Healthy Relationships (EHR) course will help everyone learn, witness, and practice tools that will impact our relationships today and every day after. Let’s invest wisely in the opportunities this season has to offer by making space in schedules, committing to show up for 8 weeks, and open up to meeting new people and learning tools that will increase the emotional health of all of our relationships. The skills learned in this course will unlock the application of scripture into everyday life, increasing our ability to love God, ourselves, and others well.

Emotionally Healthy Relationships is for everyone. Invite your family and friends to learn alongside you. We’ve heard story after story of relational healing and breakthrough happening between friends, roommates, coworkers, spouses, and just about every relationship dynamic around.

The course will be led via the Zoom app, from 8-9:30 PM. Sessions run weekly, beginning April 14 and wrapping up June 2.

This course is not a substitute for professional counseling. If you’re experiencing extreme relational hardship please contact care@heartlandchurch.org or call our care line at 913-341-5820, x330 and we will help you connect with resources/providers based on your specific needs.
