Does your spiritual life with Jesus feel dry or stagnant? Do you feel stuck, unsure how to process your emotions with God in order to move forward? Maybe now, more than ever, you’re recognizing the need to know experientially the power of an authentic life in Christ.

The Emotionally Healthy Spirituality (EHS) course will help everyone reflect, learn, and practice tools that will increase our knowledge and health so we can mature spiritually. There’s no time like the present to choose Jesus and commit to a deeper, wider relationship with Him. As the author Pete Scazzero says, “Emotional health and spiritual maturity cannot be separated. It is not possible to be spiritually mature while remaining emotionally immature.” Let’s adventure together, learning how to integrate our emotional health into our spiritual journey!

Emotionally Healthy Spirituality is for everyone. Invite your family, friends, and neighbors to learn alongside you. Pursuing our emotional health along the spiritual journey is always easier when traveled together! Register for in person on Wednesday nights, May 18,2022-July 6, 2022 from 6:30-8:00 or on Zoom, Tuesday nights, June 7, 2022-July 26, 2022.  Childcare available at time of registration for the course. Registration for childcare by May 15, 2022.

World Vision provides more clean water than any non-government organization in the world. They work with communities around the world to help solve the puzzle of poverty — providing things like clean water, nutritious food, education, medical care, economic opportunity, and spiritual development.

Heartland’s Team World Vision community gathers throughout the year to help provide life-changing clean water to children and communities in Africa. We are a community of runners, walkers, and run-walkers…no experience necessary! If you have ever wanted to do something about global poverty, say YES and join us. Through our group training meet ups on Saturdays you will build up a base to walk, skip or run 13.1 or 26.2 miles in the Kansas City marathon in October 2022.

Team World Vision provides everything you need to cross the finish line: training plans, weekly email encouragement, fundraising guides and incentives, and an incredible race weekend experience. Come to the lunch to learn more, ask questions, and choose your challenge!

  • Cause: Team World Vision Marathon-10/15/22

    7:00 am

    Cause:Team World Vision KC Marathon

We are running/walking the KC half or full marathon with Team World Vision to help provide life-changing clean water to children and communities in developing countries. So far we have brought clean water to over 5,500 people!

    Currently there are:

-Over 700 million people who do not have access to clean water.

-On average, these 700 million people walk 6 km everyday to get water that isn't even clean or safe to drink.

-Close to 1,000 kids, under the age 5, die every from diarrhea related illnesses caused by that dirty water.

-Women and children spend on average 200 million hours a day collecting water. This means that children, especially girls, will miss out on getting an education, helping to break the cycle of poverty.

You can join us and train to walk or run the 13.1 or 26.2 mile races October 15 in Kansas City. If you have ever wanted to do something about global poverty, say YES. You can do this!

Team World Vision provides everything you need to cross the finish line: training plans, weekly group runs in the Overland Park area, weekly email encouragement, fundraising guides and incentives, and an incredible race weekend experience.

Team World Vision brings clean water to one person every 10 seconds! No other nongovernment organization provides more clean water than Team World Vision.

If you have any questions or would like more information, please email or text our team captain, Todd Johnson or at 913-461-8254.
