Heartland’s men’s ministry operates under the banner of ”Everyman Ministry.”
Everyman Ministry’s vision is to lead every participating man to be a follower of Jesus.
Our mission is to create opportunities for men to gather together as a community, to grow in their knowledge of and relationship with Jesus, and to go and serve him by serving others.
Men’s Journey -
Men’s Journey is an opportunity to grow in Christ with other men who face the same life challenges as you. You have two options for taking part in Men’s Journey. We meet every Friday at 6:15 am at Heartland and at 6:30 am at Homer’s Coffee House on 80th Street just west of Metcalf. If you are new to Men’s Journey you should feel free to drop in any Friday. At both locations, we have a “launch group” just for those not yet connected to a group. At Heartland, ask for Tom Walker, and at Homer’s ask for Brad Gregory. For more information, contact Tom Walker.

Summer Community Experience—The Art of Neighboring! Tuesday Nights, June 9-30, 6:00-7:30pm in the Back-Yard
Tuesdays 6:00pm-7:30pm from June 9th to June 30th
Are you wanting to meet others in our Heartland family, and looking for ways to make our big church small? Are you interested in pointing your arrows out this summer into your neighborhood? Are you ready to take part in a Party with a Purpose, and join God by being a Good Neighbor in your sub-division, apartment complex, or part of the city in which you live? If so, we have a great opportunity for you this summer!
Adult Ministry at Heartland is teaming up to offer a 4-part Art of Neighboring experience on Tuesday nights as part our #thefrontyardproject series in June. Our invitation as a community is to step into Jesus’ charge to “Love your neighbors as we love ourselves.” Join us for these fun-filled, community-oriented, family-friendly evenings in the Back Yard, where you will be able to build relationships over dinner, collaborate with other Heartland attenders who live in your zip code, and be encouraged and equipped to throw a Party with a Purpose in your own neighborhood and/or to the neighbors who are around you in your daily life!
Space is limited for The Art of Neighboring experience – and will likely fill up fast since food will be provided – so sign up yourself or your family today!

Check out Dan Deeble’s Everyman Friday Message!
If you missed last EMF, you’ll definitely want to tune in to Dan’s parting message before sabbatical where he challenged us as men to be “Bold and Stout-hearted.” We got a sneak peak into the life of our pastor and the 5 questions he asks himself on a consistent basic as he endeavors to love and lead lead like Jesus. Check it out!
Arrows Out opportunity—Mowing at the Hope Center!
Once again we have the opportunity to go and serve the Hope Center and their mission to rebuild one of the most under-resourced communities in Kansas City. Our job for the fourth consecutive year is to mow and weed-eat the grounds on their campus on the corner of Linwood and Belfountaine. This is a GREAT chance to grow and serve by making this a small group activity. Just one week is all we ask, over the summer. 2 to 5 guys can knock it out in an hour or two.
For more information, or to sign up for a specific weekend, please contact Rob @ email@example.com.
Life’s Healing Choices for Men
Does your life have Hurts, Habits or Hang-ups that might be hindering your relationship with God and those you love? We want you to know that God can move into your life with hope, healing and growth. To begin the healing process you must first admit the need and then allow God in. Life’s Healing Choices wants to help you to make healing choices that will get you “unstuck” and on the path to freedom. We invite you to join this 10 week small group experience of discovery and breakthrough. Life’s Healing Choices 1st group meeting is June 10th from 7:00 – 8:30. Please sign up on site. If unsure just come and meet at the fireplace. This is an anonymous group. If you think this might be for you, please contact Dennis Normile or 913-991-8609.
Our Adult Community welcomes adults, whether single, married, divorced or widowed. If you are looking for a Sunday morning study
group, then Adult Community may just be the right fit for you. We meet Sunday mornings from 10:15 until 11:30 in room 4.
The first few minutes are spent catching up on the past week and then we dive into the current study. John Auld & Gary Blakeman
facilitate this interactive discussion of the Bible and how it relates to life in today’s world. This is a safe place to voice your thoughts
and hear what other people just like you are thinking. We engage with the Bible and various study materials throughout the year.
Hot Roasterie coffee and tasty treats are available for your enjoyment. For more information, contact Gary Blakeman.
