Heartland’s men’s ministry operates under the banner of ”Everyman Ministry.”
Everyman Ministry’s vision is to lead every participating man to be a follower of Jesus.
Our mission is to create opportunities for men to gather together as a community, to grow in their knowledge of and relationship with Jesus, and to go and serve him by serving others.
Men’s Journey -
Men’s Journey is an opportunity to grow in Christ with other men who face the same life challenges as you. You have two options for taking part in Men’s Journey. We meet every Friday at 6:15 am at Heartland and at 6:30 am at Homer’s Coffee House on 80th Street just west of Metcalf. If you are new to Men’s Journey you should feel free to drop in any Friday. At both locations, we have a “launch group” just for those not yet connected to a group. At Heartland, ask for Tom Walker, and at Homer’s ask for Brad Gregory. For more information, contact Tom Walker.

Tuesdays 6:30pm-8:00pm from September 15th to December 8th
We believe that it’s time to raise the standard and remind ourselves of true manhood as God intended it to be. Our homes, our workplaces, our community, and our world desperate in their need and desire for you and I to live courageously – for Christ, and for His kingdom – as a Kingdom Man. Join other like-minded men at Heartland, from all walks of life, as we dive into the Scriptures together, as we receive tactical & practical life training, and as we walk out this together towards becoming the Kingdom Men that God intended us to be.
This Kingdom Man study is one of our Men’s Journey offerings that will take place on Tuesday nights from 6:30-8:00pm in the Garage. No prior experience with Bible is necessary, but even seasoned participants in Bible Studies will be encouraged and challenged throughout this study. It is necessary for each participant to buy a copy of the Kingdom Man Workbook to participate. Childcare is available for a nominal nightly fee, and Space is limited so you’ll want to sign up today to reserve your spot!

Men’s Ministry is pointing our “Arrows Out” this August!
If you’ve been around Heartland for awhile, you know that we’re passionate about pointing our “Arrows Out” towards the last, least, and lost in our community and world. So – in light of this, and in an effort to lead out as men at Heartland – we are postponing our monthly men’s event this August and are actively sending you to point “Arrows Out” instead! You can serve anywhere; at Heartland, with one of our ministry partners we experienced during the Kick-Starter series OR you can grab a few buddies and meet a need you see around you! It doesn’t matter where you serve, but it is up to YOU to prayerfully seek God as to where to go out, and then to actively engage in meaningful service wherever the Lord Leads. Please take a few minutes to let us know what you’re doing, where you are serving, and who you are serving with so we can support, encourage, and celebrate our collective efforts together. Let’s see how much good we can do for Christ and others this month, and see what God does!
Let us know about your “Arrows Out” experience by clicking on the link below, soon.

Arrows Out opportunity—Mowing at the Hope Center!
Once again we have the opportunity to go and serve the Hope Center and their mission to rebuild one of the most under-resourced communities in Kansas City. Our job for the fourth consecutive year is to mow and weed-eat the grounds on their campus on the corner of Linwood and Belfountaine. This is a GREAT chance to grow and serve by making this a small group activity. Just one week is all we ask, over the summer. 2 to 5 guys can knock it out in an hour or two.
For more information, or to sign up for a specific weekend, please contact Rob @ email@example.com.
Life’s Healing Choices for Men
Does your life have Hurts, Habits or Hang-ups that might be hindering your relationship with God and those you love? We want you to know that God can move into your life with hope, healing and growth. To begin the healing process you must first admit the need and then allow God in. Life’s Healing Choices wants to help you to make healing choices that will get you “unstuck” and on the path to freedom. We invite you to join this 10 week small group experience of discovery and breakthrough. Life’s Healing Choices 1st group meeting is June 10th from 7:00 – 8:30. Please sign up on site. If unsure just come and meet at the fireplace. This is an anonymous group. If you think this might be for you, please contact Dennis Normile or 913-991-8609.
Our Adult Community welcomes adults, whether single, married, divorced or widowed. If you are looking for a Sunday morning study
group, then Adult Community may just be the right fit for you. We meet Sunday mornings from 10:15 until 11:30 in room 4.
The first few minutes are spent catching up on the past week and then we dive into the current study. John Auld & Gary Blakeman
facilitate this interactive discussion of the Bible and how it relates to life in today’s world. This is a safe place to voice your thoughts
and hear what other people just like you are thinking. We engage with the Bible and various study materials throughout the year.
Hot Roasterie coffee and tasty treats are available for your enjoyment. For more information, contact Gary Blakeman.
