Heartland’s Men’s Ministry operates under the banner of ”Everyman Ministry.”
Everyman Ministry’s vision is to lead every participating man to be a Disciple of Jesus Christ.
Our mission is to create opportunities for men to Gather Together as a community of godly men, to Grow in their knowledge of and relationship with Jesus Christ, and to Go and Serve him by serving others.
Men’s Journey -
Men’s Journey is an opportunity to grow in Christ with other men who face the same life challenges as you. You have two options for taking part in Men’s Journey. We meet every Friday at 6:15 am at Heartland and at 6:30 am at Homer’s Coffee House on 80th Street just west of Metcalf. If you are new to Men’s Journey you should feel free to drop in any Friday. At both locations, we have a “launch group” just for those not yet connected to a group. At Heartland, ask for Tom Walker, and at Homer’s ask for Don Mardock. Everyman Friday with Joe Calhoon
6:15am-7:30am Friday, September 19th at On the Dock
We are excited to kick off the new season of Everyman Friday with our special guest speaker. Joe Calhoon. Joe is the President of Priority Advantage and formerly the Senior Consultant at Franklin Covey. He works with business leaders and business owners around the country who aspire to develop higher performing organizations. Joe has written several books including The 1 Hour Plan for Growth and will be equipping us with a daily strategy that can change our lives for the better. Please join us in the Dock at 6:15 for coffee and donuts and Joe will begin speaking at 6:30 am with the wrap up by 7:30 so you can get to work on time.

Gentleman, welcome to the main event of the year! If you are looking for a chance to get away from the normal grind and share in a life changing adventure alongside 150+ men like you, then Man Time is where you need to be the weekend of October 4th & 5th. There will be food, games, teaching by renowned speaker Dudley Hall, camping, and plenty of time to hangout. We’ll be hosting Man Time at a new location this year, TimberRidge Adventure Center – 12300 S Homestead Ln, Olathe, KS 66061. Guys are welcome to start arriving as early as 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 4th and we will get things officially kicked off at 2:30 p.m. Everything will be wrapped up by 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, October 5th. Invite your buddies, neighbors, coworkers, and any other men you know. Man Time will be one of those events you don’t want to miss. Registration is required – $35 per man (or $30 for Saturday only). The Old Testament – Understanding the Story We Find Ourselves In
Have you ever found the Bible to be hard to read, and even harder to understand? Have you ever questioned if the Old Testament is relevant and meaningful to you in the business of your everyday life? Have you ever wondered if there is an overarching Story to the Bible, and asked how you might fit into God’s grand story? If so, then this 10-week class is for you! At Heartland, we believe that everyone can understand and encounter God through the Bible, and we want to invite & challenge you to join other men at Heartland for this exciting exploration of God through the Story of the Old Testament. No prior experience with Bible is necessary, but even seasoned participants in Bible Studies will be encouraged and challenged throughout this course. Space is limited so, so sign up online today! Discs & Donuts Saturday, September 20th (Shawnee Mission Park)
8:30am-10:30am Saturday, September 20th
We are excited to personally invite you to Discs & Donuts on Saturday, September 20th from 9 a.m. – Noon at Shawnee Mission Park (7900 Renner Road, Shawnee, KS 66219). Whether you consider yourself a Disc Golfer and have a bag full of colorful discs, or you’ve never played disc golf before, this event is for you! Discs & Donuts will be played as a Shotgun Start Scramble. Teams of four players will be formed the morning of. Prizes will be awarded to the winning team and to the individuals who win the longest drive, closest to the pin, and longest putt competitions. Invite your buddies and fellow Disc Golfers! Bring your own coffee and come as early as 8:30 a.m. to enjoy some donuts. Registration is required – $5 per man. You can reserve your spot by clicking the sign-up link below. Life’s Healing Choices for Men
Does your life have Hurts, Habits or Hang-ups that might be hindering your relationship with God and those you love? We want you to know that God can move into your life with hope, healing and growth. To begin the healing process you must first admit the need and then allow God in. Life’s Healing Choices wants to help you to make healing choices that will get you “unstuck” and on the path to freedom. We invite you to join this 10 week small group experience of discovery and breakthrough. Life’s Healing Choices 1st group meeting is October 1st from 7:00 – 8:30. Please sign up on site.
